Long term CAB have been really good in Berwick. However I feel like giving it a two star recently further to prejudice from one member of staff I think Jane. She did not return my hardcopy letter on the issue we were discussing after I had to walk out 3/4 of an hour into the meeting. She claims that I shouted when in fact I had raised my Voice in relation to a emotional issue of two bedroom allocation with housing applications and my protected characteristics. After walking out the room to leave the building it was not possible for me to recover my letter she was holding in her hands from the Berwickshire housing association . Some days later I asked for the hardcopy but was told by the manager Helen that Jane had given it back to me . This was not the case. It is disappointing to find dishonesty within a place I never would expect to find it CAB. A place I have always respected. As a result of this discrimination and dishonesty I can no longer in reasonable consciousness go to Berwick carpet which is a disadvantage for me with fibromyalgia. I now have to drive all the way to Alnwick will try to get help from across the border. Helen has told me I can't complain about not having the document returned because I did not complain before but I have never complained about the document not been returned because I did not know they lost the document until days later. So that was an injustice. I did not get any help on the victim of crime help I needed nor discrimination from a vet either. In the end I had to travel all the way to the Alnwick where they were excellent and you even get somewhere to park . Sadly despite living in the Berwick area I will now have to always travel to Arnicle somewhere else further to the upsetting and experience last time I was in CAB Berwick. I hope for the safety and protection of clients in future there will be video recording etc in the rooms and building so that people who are not capable of telling the truth are revealed for what they are ie dishonest. Integrity is everything and it's really important that a voluntary organisation like has 100% honest and decent people no compromise.

Staff really helped with my adult disability form printing it out for me really pleasant nothing a problem I was really stressed and staff really nice and settled me down could not fault the nothing was a problem to over and beyond there duties just want to thank them so much to

Can't thank these people enough for everything they have helped me with over the years couldn't have done it without them ...

the staff are very nice and friendly and do the best for everyone I really can't say enything bad about them all I really hope they keep one going and stay open for everyone how need help

Great place to get advice

Very helpful advice, Its a shame their service is only on Wednesdays and Fridays. Hope they manage to stay open despite goverment cuts.

Always very helpful and so understanding. They will help with what ever they can.

Very professional and helpful

Fantastic assistance. I would have given five stars but unfortunately I have heard that massive cuts are being made to the service very soon and very valuable staff are being offloaded. Without such staff it is clear to me that these vital services will soon be a distant memory.
