Excellent service from Steve - our train into Berwick was delayed by 3 hrs - Steve hung around and waited until it arrived at 7.30 pm. Picking up and returning the car was trouble free: Steve was at the station on return. The cost was very competitive and we would certainly recommend them if you need to rent a car in Berwick.

Coming from a "grumpy old man" who rarely leaves positive reviews, this experience was breath of fresh air - good value, easy and none of the usual hassle of insurance excess rip offs you get with national rentals. Flexible, inasmuch as we extended the rental period and all worked so well. Cannot recommend East Coast Rentals enough. Yes, it may feel a bit laid back but Steven is on the phone when you need to speak.

Steve is so laid back that we began to wonder if the car really existed. He didn't give us any clear confirmation till a few days before our arrival, but it was a wonderful service being met with the car at the station and an ideal car for the two of us.

Easy operation, well priced. No hassle

I tried to rent a car for 3 days but they asked a lot of documents: driving licence with the same address than you live (a French driving licence doesn’t need to be changed when you move), utility bills for the address and a NI number ( sorry it is not compulsory to have a NI in Uk). I drove for 30 years, rent cars everywhere in the world but it was impossible to rent a car at Berwick!!!!

Excellent personal service, can’t recommend highly enough. Pick up from station very easy. Car small but perfect for two day use. 😀
