Phoned for "fit us in" appointment for myself and daughter, got an appointment, staff were very helpful as I'd never been before and was unsure where to go (just to left of entrance to the maltings). Cut was excellent, we both felt welcomed and well treated. Will happily use again, might even book in advance!

Where do I start? I booked an appointment for my partner who arrived on time but then a regular turned up at the wrong time who was then given preference and my partner was told to come back later. She eventually got this full information and I contacted them to exclaim my upset at how my partner was treated and the discriminatory behaviour towards her especially after I had been extremely open with personal issues and the need for such an appointment. I was then messaged back and bizarrely accused of being "aggressive" and immediately blocked to prevent replying and rather immaturely get in the last word. They could not apologise enough at first but made excuses for their own failings. My partner decided to quite rightly post a review which was quickly responded to with yet more excuses and even blaming me for arranging such a quick appointment. How does this excuse the preferential treatment and the complete lack of any regard for my partner. In fact, if the owner spent less time obsessively responding to reviews she didn't like in such a belligerent fashion, and a little more making sure her working practices are up to scratch then this unpleasant experience my partner was put through, may never have occurred. The owner should also care to remember that word of mouth, especially within such a business, is far stronger than getting reviews she doesn't like taken down. If you can't take criticisms, don't know how to effectively apologise for your own errors, seek to act so offensively to customers who have every right to be upset and then even start blaming the customer then I'd be surprised how you get on in life let alone efficiently run a business. The customer may not always be right, but when you are wrong, be an adult and behave in an appropriate manner befitting a supposed business owner.
